We went to Memphis the week of January 17th to find a place to live! Stephen had been working there the week before so I flew down to meet him. While at the airport, I found out that we were released to MOVE TO MEMPHIS on February 1st! Which sounded great except.... that only gave me a week in MN to pack and find transportation for all of our stuff!! STRESS!!
This was my flight - SNOW!!
it took about 45 minutes to move and de-ice. geeeeez!
We were SO blessed to have our parents drive up and help us find a place to live! We got to spend some time with them - that was much needed! We found a place on the first day! (But took a couple of days to make sure that was the right place!!)
Of course, when the Hoods are involved... it always turns into a sporting event!

and found my favorite store! (with all of the wigs)
So we spent the week in Memphis. I had passed out about 100 resumes and job applications during that week. I had an interview while we were there too!! (more info on that later!)
I woke up Friday morning that we were flying out of Memphis, headed back to MN, feeling a little sick. I woke up Saturday morning in MN and I was SICK SICK SICK! Perfect timing. UGH! Stephen was so great though and helped me so much! We got everything packed and the movers came on Thursday to pack up all of our stuff!
After we got everything loaded, Stephen and I headed out in Owatonna for one last dinner...

Since we had already packed up all of our stuff, we slept on a blow up mattress in our dining room our last night in MN! 3 deep... and this is what I woke up to!

This is my car! Stuff piled up to the headrest in the passenger seat and that is Rocky's booty behind the seat! It was a TIGHT ride!!
So a quick recap of our first week in Memphis! I got a call on Tuesday before we moved and was offered a job at the Wootton Clinic! I was soo excited and gladly accepted! I love my job and all of the people I work with! I started Feb 1st! (4 days after we moved to Memphis!) We slept on a blow up mattress for a week! We had NO FURNITURE!! Our movers came on Saturday 2/5 and we were so happy to have a place to sit (other than the floor)!!!
We are LOVING it here! We have already been to another Grizzlies game (vs. Lakers!)
I will upload pic of our apartment once it looks a little more put together!
